Yesterday while I was at Learning at School I asked Carolyn, our reliever, to do art with the class. Carolyn sometimes teaches full time at our school and is a talented artist herself. What did she teach them? Well she taught the class how to use water color paint to blend colours. Anyway the whole class did an amazing job and I was so impressed with their detail. I will put up a display later this week and blog it so you can see them. Finally check out this one from Joseph, I think it deserves a special mention. There is no doubt he has a natural talent!

Over the last couple of weeks 4.5 have been designing book covers for our favourite books. They had to use block lettering, illustrations and a blurb. I think they did a great job, check some of them out!

This week R3 have been busy finishing their Kiwiana Art so we can get it up on our blog for our Quad Buddies to see! We made the art using Kiwiana and famous New Zealand places or landmarks. I think they turned out pretty awesome! Do our quad buddies recognize or understand any of the words or pictures? What landmarks or icons do you have in your countries? R3 have finally finished their Olympic Art! They had to do an observational drawing of a gold medal, screen print of an Olympic symbol and a kidpix picture about the Olympics. Check out the end result!

In 3D we have been working on a piece of Olympic art using Kidpix, our drawing skills and different screen printing techniques. I think the kids are doing a great job and hopefully we will be finished soon. Here is a sneak preview of some of the finished Kidpix pictures.
